Seit über 30 Jahren bin ich in das Land Portugal, seine Menschen und seine Kultur verliebt. Als Musiker habe ich mich natürlich von Anfang an für den Fado interessiert und die sehr ausdrucksstarke Musik immer mehr lieben gelernt. Nachdem mich dann ein Fadista an der Algarve mit dem Fado “O Embucado” vollkommen in seine Bann gezogen hatte, beschloss ich selbst Fadosänger zu werden. Mittlerweile habe ich meinen Traum wahr gemacht und schon in der Alfama, im Bairro Alto, in anderen Stadtteilen Lissabons und in fast ganz Portugal sowie im portugiesischen Fernsehen live Fado gesungen und eine CD mit überwiegend traditionellen Fadosongs aufgenommen.
For more than 30 years I have fallen in love with the country called Portugal, it’s people, it’s culture… As a musician I always developed a natural desire and interest in Fado understanding and learning this influential music forever more. After my encounter with a Fado singer in the Algarve
singing the song “O Embuçado”, my heart got touched to become a Fado singer as well. Meanwhile to make my dream come true I travelled to Alfama, Bairro Alto, other parts of Lisbon and practically all over Portugal. I also sang fado on live portuguese TV and recorded a CD with traditional Fado music.
Apaixonei-me com o pais chamado Portugal, o seu povo e a sua cultura há de 30 anos. Como músico desenvolvi um interesse natural no Fado compreendendo e apreendendo esta música que tanto influencia os seus ouvintes. Foi após o meu contacto com um fadista no Algarve a cantar “O Embuçado” que o meu coração sentiu-se impelido a tornar-se fadista também. Entretanto ao tornar o meu sonho uma realidade viajei até Alfama, o Bairro Alto e outras partes de Lisboa visitando igualmente todo o Portugal. Tive o privilégio de cantar Fado ao vivo na televisão portuguesa e produzir um CD com Fado tradicional.
